1961 Austin Healey 3000 red Description

This is a great Austin Healey, VIN #HBT7L13572. It's never been in a wreck and the body panels are very nice, except the fenders have had a previous patch at the bottom that could have been done better. The original color was black with red interior. The doors had some rust on the bottom of the door skin and patch panels were put on with screws that need final fitting. The door frames are rust-free, including the bottom of the door frame and I will also include two (2) additional rust-free doors. The trunk lid and hood are in great condition. The front and rear shrouds are very good, with very good grill fit on the front and the front shroud Austin-Healey badge is in good condition.
The chassis has the typical Healey rust, and will need inner and outer sills replaced, inner rear fender panel will need patching on both sides, both sides need a new shut (latch) pillar assembly, there is rust in the front floor area in the passenger compartment, the main frame rails are very straight and will need L and R front outriggers replaced, the right-hand sway bar mount plate is a bit rough, trunk floor also needs replaced. We've rigged up a temporary fuel supply to the carburetors, and it fired right up with good response to the throttle and no leaks. The oil pressure was great, 60 lbs. cold, and 50 lbs. at idle, we jacked up the rear wheels and ran the gearbox through all gears; sounds good and the synchro works good, and overdrive also worked. It still needs all hydraulics rebuilt, but the clutch worked, along with the e-break.
The soft top needs replacing, but the front wood top bow, alloy retaining rail and latches are in great shape. The top frame has two broken welds on the front rail that can be fixed. There is a box of loose parts, a spare tire and wheel, a spare tire hold down rod, two overiders, rear bumper with brackets. There are some small brackets for the rear backrest missing and the door strikers are available. There are no side curtains with the car. The windshield is the original triplex brand, with no cracks. Exhaust system has been cutoff, leaving only the header pipe, noisy. I have a clear title for the car. I will also help find a transporter, if you need one.
