This Buick was assembled at the Kansas City, KS Plant and originally
purchased new by Miss Matilda J. Gage [Frank Baum’s niece] at Jacobson Buick
in Aberdeen South Dakota.
Miss Gage promoted the children’s books about the land of OZ
authored by her uncle Frank Baum. The character of Dorothy depicted
in Baum’s books was based on Miss Gage and her younger sister, [the real] Dorothy.
Miss Gage’s Buick was sold in 1986 after her death.
