1961 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible Description

You are bidding on a 1961 Corvette convertible equipped with the numbers matchingdrivetrain that it left the factory with. It is a 283 CI, 230hp single four barrel V-8 engine and 3 speed manual transmission. The older repainted exterior Fawn Beige paint color is still in good condition with only a few blemishes and a chip or so visible. This car was repainted in the 1980's. The left front fender and nose have been replaced, most likely due to a minor accident at some time in the past. The Fawn interior is overall in good condition for its age, the drivers seat is split in the middle as can be seen in the pictures. The Fawn colored convertible top is in fair condition. The car also has the optional removable hard top which is in good condition. This car is equipped with the original wonderbar radio which works perfectly. The car was sitting in a garage since 1995 and now has been gone through with numerous new items to get it road worthy again. The following items have been recently replaced: brake drums, wheel cylinders and brake shoes, new brake hardware, brake hoses, master cylinder, distributor, spark plugs and wires, gas tank, leaf springs, battery, rebuilt carb, tires(diamond back classic radials),new hubcaps. Some of the original ignition shielding comes with the car.I purchased this car from the second owner who had it from 1967 until 2015. This car drives great and is easy to just cruise. The car is for sale locally so I reserve the rightto end the auction at anytime.
