It's no secret that Chevrolet builds some of the most celebrated trucks on the planet. From the AK era forward, every generation has found a solid following and, eventually, firm footing in the collector car world. Over the past few years, we've featured plenty of vintage, ground-pounding bowties, and this righteous rest-mod is just the latest in a series of sweet C/K head turners. Mixing a spry small block and proven 4-speed with bodywork that'll sit well on any show field, this road-ready warrior is worthy of EVERY Chevy fan's full attention. If you're shopping for a clean classic that mixes modern detailing with purposeful simplicity, take a close look at this awesome Apache!

BODYWORK/TRIM

This cool C10, a solid canvas that was ready to reflect some smooth street rod art, benefitted from a professional restoration which wrapped a striking coat of DuPont Dodge Bright Silver Metallic 2-stage in a bleve of well-placed details. That body-off reboot, conducted by Mooresville, North Carolina's Southern Autowerks, saw the truck debut new digs in the Spring of 2016. At the front of those digs, a color-keyed 'egg crate' grille hangs modern halogen headlights between clear parking lamps and a body-matched bumper. At the sides of that grille, a wet looking profile centers painted door handles and a traditional fuel filler beneath smoked glass. At the back of that greenhouse, a factory 'big window' reflects Oak planks that have been dressed in matte hardware, bathed in Charcoal stain and sealed in rugged clear. And at the back of that bed, a shaved tailgate hangs a bold "CHEVROLET" script between a body-matched bumper and LED taillights.

ENGINE

Take a look under the truck's broad hood and you'll find 350 cubic inches of Chevrolet small block that, thanks to a professional .040 overbore, creates roughly 300 horsepower! At the top of the engine, an X-Stream-style air cleaner funnels oxygen in to a coated Edelbrock carburetor, which rides a lightweight Edelbrock Performer EPS intake. At the sides of that plane, cast iron heads hang fabricated valve covers between a requisite breather and tough Keith Black pistons. Those pistons spin between a Comp hydraulic, flat-tappet cam and coated Hooker Competition headers. Those headers flank loomed GM Performance Parts plug wires, which are snapped onto a traditional points distributor. Opposite that distributor, a beefy Champion radiator centers a large puller fan behind a polished expansion tank. Aesthetically, both the painted mill and its assortment of fresh accessories seem right at home inside their Dodge Bright Silver Metallic frame. And details like silver pulleys, a Mr. Gasket fuel filter, trick dipsticks, a quality Sanden AC compressor and a proven Wilwood master cylinder ensure this Chevy has the looks to match its performance.

DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION

Naturally, that clean, road-ready mill precedes a clean, road-ready chassis. Everything starts with a sturdy, factory-spec frame that's been C Notched in the rear. Those bones roll on a fully rebuilt suspension that features drop spindles up front and lowering springs at all four corners. Behind the smooth small block, a rebuilt 700R4 4-speed spins a tough 12-bolt axle that's finished with a limited-slip differential and familiar 3.73 gears. Modern power steering makes parking easy and turns a cinch. Stops are provided by power-assisted calipers, which clinch drilled and slotted rotors. The aforementioned headers feed fresh, 2.5-inch pipes, which employ dual-chamber Flowmaster mufflers. And power meets the pavement through 20-inch U.S Mags Ramblers, which twist 255/35 Delinte Thunder D7s in front of 275/35 Delinte Thunder D7s.

INTERIOR

When you pop this pickup's doors, you'll find a comfortable cockpit that, in traditional truck fashion, features conservative, monochromatic trim. Top dead center, a color-keyed dash hangs reliable Auto Meter Pro-Comp Ultra-Lite telemetry behind a Kenwood CD player, Vintage Air climate control and a custom shifter. In front of that dash, fresh carpet frames a broad ultraleather seat. At the sides of that carpet, color-keyed doors found simple panels under traditional chrome handles. And in front of the driver, a polished steering wheel spins a half-wrapped rim.

Perpetually cool and visually stunning, this awesome C10 is a classic example of the skill and creativity that defines our hobby. With its clean craftsmanship and excellent asking price, it presents the rare opportunity to land a well-done showstopper that doubles as a well-done road warrior. Don't miss your chance to own this striking Chevy Apache!
