1968 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Description

68 L-72 427/425 BELAIR REPRODUCTION

WHILE THIS CAR HAS MOST ALL THE FACTORY OPTIONS OF AN L-72, IT IS A CLONE, A COPY, A REPRODUCTION, A DUPLICATE.

I found this car out of Florida from an older gentleman quite some time ago.

It has been in restoration for what seems like forever and it just recently emerged.

I have driven it a little over 400 miles since, fine tuning, sorting, and adjusting. It is ready to go anywhere now and since I too am olderand have recently retired I would like to sell it to recoup some money.

Although most people think so, this car is not perfect. It was built to be driven. It is a very nice local show quality driver.

It does retain a lot of its original factory equipment

All 4 original T3 headlights that work

All original glass except windshield

Factory radio delete

Front and rear bumpers

Grille

Tail lights

Marker lights

All chrome and stainless

Power steering

Power disc brakes

Factory spare wheel, jack, and tools

Front door panels are from an SS car. New mini starter, alternator, headers, exhaust, wiper motor, power steering pump, shocks, springs, bushings, seals, bearings, ball joints, u-joints, Eaton posi unit, steering components except steering gear, weather stripping, headliner, visors, outside rear view mirror, outside door handles, windshield, MSD distributor, ceramic plug wires, etc. etc.

Also the car did require a new floor pan (see pics) but that is the only sheet metal replaced.

It is the original color Grotto Blue with the Silver two-tone added.

EVERYTHING WORKS……. cigarette lighter, all lights and signals, dash lights, all the idiot lights, fuel gauge, horn, wipers, heater and controls as well as the blower, speedometer, odometer, high beam indicator, all marker lights, trunk and door locks match, all windows roll easily, even the original obnoxious key buzzer still works like new.

THIS CAR WILL ABSOLUTELY RIP. It may be a reproduction but it still has the power and performance of the real thing. It runs, drives, shifts, and stops perfectly. It will certainly melt the rear tires if you like. There is not a rattle, vibration or wind sound at any speed and the rebuilt Muncie shifter does not rattle and shake like most. All mechanicals are without fault. The performance is still breathtaking even by today’s standards and the force of the acceleration is more than outstanding. It drives like new as it should and will not disappoint even the most ardent driver. The car runs 180 to 190 degrees always and never runs hot. Oil pressure hot idle is 45psi and 60-70 psi running down the road.

YOUR CHOICE OF TIRE AND WHEEL COMBINATIONS (see last three pics)
