1940 Chevrolet MASTER 85 SEDAN SEDAN - ALL STEEL Description

BODY & PAINT

This is an ALL steel body, which is in very good condition. Front and rear fenders and running boards are also steel. The rear fenders have been widened 2” to accommodate wider tires. All rust has been cut out and has been replaced with steel panels. The trunk does not have a locking mechanism, because I was planning to put an electric lift kit, but never did it, but I do have a nice original chrome handle I can install if you want me to. The paint is 2008 Corvette atomic orange. It has minor imperfections, but it is very shiny and shows very well. Trunk is covered with black carpet.

CHROME & TRIM

The bumpers are stainless steel and new. The chrome grill is new. The front LED parking and turn signal lights are in the headlights. Chrome headlight trim rings & door handles are new.

GLASS

The vent windows have been eliminated. The side windows have been replaced with lightly tinted windows. The windshields are new. The rear glass is original and has a slight hazing.

INTERIOR

The white and black interior is all new and in very good condition. The front and back seats are reupholstered originals. The headliner is all new. The black carpet is new and shows no signs of wear. Has all new Dolphin gauges with electric speedometer. The 200 watt stereo radio is new. Has a tilt steering column. Seatbelts in front seat only.

WHEELS & TIRES

The wheels are Chevrolet Rally Wheels. Tires; Front – P245/60-15, Rear – P275/60-15. Tires have 90% tread.

DRIVE TRAIN

The 350 Chevy engine has been rebuilt. Has a mild cam, aluminum intake & new Holley carb. It has stainless steel headers and a new distributor. Cooled by a new aluminum AFCO radiator and electric fan.

Has a TH350 transmission with a B & M shifter kit that needs to be manually shifted.

Differential is a1969 Camaro 10 bolt 3:08 posi gears.

CHASSIS

Mustang II front suspension with power steering. Power front disc brakes. Rear spring kit is from Chassis Engineering .
