1955 DeSoto FIREDOME Description

KEEP ADDING INFO TO ANSWER ALL THE QUESTIONS I AM GETTING

VERY RARE 1955 DESOTO FIREDOME

5 DOOR STATION WAGON.

ONE OF ONLY 1803 PRODUCED IN 1955 AND VERY VERY FEW EXAMPLES STILL EXIST!

THIS ONE IS AS ORIGINAL AS THEY COME WITH THE FACTORY 291 HEMI MOTOR AND AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. YOU WOULD BE HARD PRESSED TO FINE ONE AS ORIGINAL AND NICE AS THIS ONE.

THIS IS READY TO DRIVE AND ENJOY TODAY!

A TRUE SURVIROR, WITH SOLID FLOORS, DOORS, AND ROCKERS, NEARLY RUST FREE WITH ONLY A FEW SMALL AREAS OF SMALL BUBBLES AND SURFACE RUST. I WAS TOLD THIS CAR SPENT MOST OF ITS LIFE IN VERY DRY EL PASO, TEXAS.

GORGEOUS PERIODLEXINGTON GREEN IS THE OFFICIAL COLOR WITH SURF WHITE ACCENTS AND A BLACK AND WHITE INTERIOR. I CALLED IN SEA FOAM GREEN BUT AN ASUTE WATCHER CORRECTED ME.

RUNS AND DRIVES AS SMOOTH AS SILK. A LITTLE SMOKE ON START UP, MOST LIKELY IN NEED OF VALVE SEALS ON THIS NEVER REBUILT MOTOR. INSTALL SEALS OR USE AS IS.

GREAT OIL PRESSURE, NO OVERHEATING.

HAS FACTORY POWER STEERING WHICH IS A NICE TOUCH WITH SUCH A LARGE CAR, OPTIONAL AM RADIO AND DASH CLOCK.

BRAND NEW $800. STEERING WHEEL AND HORN BUTTON THAT IS THE ICING ON THE CAKE FOR THE INTERIOR.

LOTS OF NEW PARTS TO MAKE IT RELIABLE, LIKE NEW TIRES,STARTER, BATTERY, STEERING LINKAGE, HOSES, BRAKES, BELTS, FRESH OIL CHANGE AND FILTER.

CAR DOES NOT NEED ANYTHING TO ENJOY AND USE WITH JUST THE TURN OF A KEY! HEATER AND FAN WORKS GREAT AND BLOWS NICE AND HOT, LIGHTS WORK AS THEY SHOULD, WIPERS WORK FOR THAT RAINY DAY. CLOCK AND RADIO WILL NEED ATTENTION.

THERE ARE SOME CHIPS AND A FEW DINGS HERE AND THERE, SMALLGOLF BALLDENT TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE REAR BUMPER THAT COULD BE PUSHED BACK TO SHAPE,BUT OVERALL A VERY VERY PRESENTABLE WAGON.

LOTS OF POTENTIAL TO KEEP ALL ORIGINAL OR INSTALL A MORE MODERN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION, OR A MONSTER CRATE MOTOR FOR A RAT ROD STYLE.

I WILL BE HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY AND ALL QUESTIONS, SO FIRE AWAY.

CAR IS SOLD AS IS WHERE IS, AND I WILL HELP IN ANY WAY I CAN WITH TRANSPORT. SHIPPING COSTS ARE PAID BY THE BUYER.

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS WELCOME!
