This is for a rare 1987 Ford Mustang LX Notchback, trunk car.This is one year only color option called JONQUIL (light yellow)and it has the very rare tan interior.The best I can tell from the mustang forums,there were less than 500 made this color.This is a very solid,and almost rust free,Alabama car.There is a ONE small spot of rust in the trunk on the passenger side where a old battery was stored,for a few years, when it was parked.It leaked and caused a small area to rust about a 3" circle(SEE PHOTO). This is from the inside out.It will be a very easy fix.There is NO other rust that I have seen.The car was bought new in Alabama and has been here its whole life.I have all the original paperwork and books still in the original selling dealers folder.It appears all original right down to the paint.It is showing 20274,but assume it is 120274 at least.It will be sold mileage exempt anyway.This is a 4 cyl 5 speed car.I had bought it to do a V-8 swap,but now my plans have changed.The car cranks right up and runs and drives good.The trans shifts good, but the clutch is weak and will slip, especially when it warms up.I have drove it about 30 miles to my house.I believe, if you take it easy, you could drive it home,only if you are close,but I would highly recommend trailering or transporting it to it's new home to be safe.The rare tan interior is in descent shape.Everything is intact,including the center arm rest.It could use some carpet cleaning and a new headliner.All the glass is good.The car has some weird options;Power locks,manual windows,cruise control,power gas door and power trunk.It also has A/C(NOT WORKING),power steering and power brakes.There are a few scratches,dents and dings, here and there.The drivers door has had some damage to the frame around the glass,but It opens and shuts fine and the window rolls up and down fine.See Photo.All glass is good and the cowl vent cover is NOT cracked like most.The tires look fairly new.It will need a new battery.The one in it will hold a charge for a few days.Overall,This will make a nice car and it is priced VERY fair,esp for a original Notch.I have clear Alabama title in hand.
