1978 International Harvester Scout Terra Description

This Scout Terra pickup is a rare find and desired by collectors. The top is removable for those nice summer days. Custom Ford 302 V-8 5.0 liter engine (new motor June 2013). Edelbrock 600 cfm carburetor with matching polished intake manifold. Custom NV4500 5-speed manual transmission, Advance Adapters, and Centerforce II clutch. Dana 44 axles on both front and rear were standard equipment on this Scout. Red-Head steering box, SunPro retro gauges (oil, amps, fuel, rpm).Workman super deluxe front winch bumper. Warn 8,000 lb winch with new cable and larger yellow hook. Winch works for pulling you out of a ditch or pulling logs, but should be upgraded for any rock crawling. Rough Country 4 inch lift kit with new springs and Heckethorn shocks. Ford Bronco mirrors. Flowmaster series 50 dual mufflers. Rear differential pinion bearing, and and all four wheel bearings replaced. Dual Interstate batteries. Gas tank was cleaned and sealed and a new sending unit and new gas line to fuel pump. Delta storage box. Custom seats recline, with custom steel frame. Towing hitch and 31x10 50 Toyo tires. The custom metallic paint is a Bahama Blue.
This Scout is a daily driver and was restored for elk hunting and use on logging roads. It's in good condition, but the paint up close does show normal wear and tear with minor scrapes. The right rear bumper has a small bend. A great truck for around the farm, hunting, or a daily driver. You may want to take this pickup to the next level and turn it into show condition. This is a Terra pickup so don't confuse it with the 2 or 4 door Scout II. Same parts but this model is harder to find and has become a collectors item.
