1994 Land Rover Range Rover County Description

Registered in June of 1994, the RRC has been a California car its entire life and this can be seen in its condition. This is a completely rust free vehicle.

I purchased her in June of 2015 as I have always had a soft spot for the Classic. After 18 months of ownership I need to make room for a new Land Rover project car.

I am the 8th owner and the number of owners is the ONLY reason for the lower than average grading - No Accidents.

Since my purchase I have:

Replaced the distributor with a new Pertronix Unit

Added new Shocks

New Tyres that have less that 4,000 miles on them

Installed New steering pump

Rebuilt the steering box

New fuel pump and sender unit (For good measure)

Replaced crankshaft front oil seal

Installed Electrical kill switch

Added Trickle charger link for extended periods sat in the garage not being used

Installed New engine belts

Repaired all door locks - Each one operates perfectly

Installed New tailgate gas struts

Installed New TPS, MAF Sensor, Plugs, wires and battery

Installed new Headliner

Added LED Head Lights

Added LED Spots

Upgraded almost all bulbs to LED’s including brake, tail, side and interior

The RRC has a quad band HAM radio and I added USB outlets; one to the back and two in the front in such a way as to keep the standard look.

Sunroof, power locks, windows and seats all work perfectly. The cruise control is touchy.

Engine runs on Rotella Triple T with oversized K&N Gold Filter. Transmission and Transfer case run on Redline DT4 and diffs on Amsoil Synthetic.

Over the last few months California has had some heavy rain, flooding and poor driving conditions - I have been using the RRC almost every week for my 120 mile round trip commute from rural Wilton to Tracy and it has been an amazing drive. Flooded roads have proven to be no issue and in heavy rain at freeway speeds the new tyres have been very good.

Starts and runs very smoothly for a 23 year old RRC, of course a few oil drips from the engine. Diffs, Transmission and Transfer case are bone dry so I have a gasket set for the sump which I have not fitted yet but will include the gasket set with the rig.

Runs very comfortably at 75MPH on the freeway and has plenty of get up and go.

Again, its a 23 year old car and does have signs of wear and tear, leather is great, but door gaskets are a little worn in places and there are some stone chips in the paint.

Why if it's so good do I want to sell such a great RRC, I have a 1984 Defender on the way, enough said!

I have additional pictures and happy to answer any questions.
