I bought this MG in 1968 and started a ground-up restoration in 1984, working-on and driving it regularly until 1997, when life got in the way. It has been up on blocks ever since.

History from 1968: every new part and bit of work done on it documented in detailed spreadsheet. Garaged at all times. $12,869.28 total parts and labor invested.

Chassis – HDP 46/1826 Engine – XPAG/TF 30669

Restoration includes:

• Chassis & Frame: sandblased, primered, painted.

• Body: rust free, rebuilt fuel tank, tub rebuilt with new timber and sheet metal, new canvas top, original side-curtains.

• Engine: bored and sleeved (to +.020) with new pistons, rings, tappets, valves and bearings. Rebuilt SU carbs.

• Prop shaft, steering column, suspension and brake system – all rebuilt or overhauled with new parts as needed.

• Most of the rubber and much of the electrical system replaced. 2 chrome & 4 original wire wheels.

89,532 original miles when speedometer reset at engine rebuild in 1987. 8,763 miles logged since then.

Sale includes Shop Manual and many extra parts.

Needs some brake work and likely new tires, but otherwise drivable.
