1985 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight Royale Description

Up for auction is my 1985 Oldsmobile Delta 88. I have owned this car for several years, and until recently, I drove it every day. I bought this car at an estate sale, and to my knowledge, I am the second owner. This car runs and drives really well, but as with any 31 year old car, it does have some issues. I am going to list the things I know is wrong with this car below.

-The driver’s side window falls off track, I got used to this, and by putting some pressure on the window, it rolls up fine.

-The weather stripping seal has some age on the driver’s side and is developing leaks. I also got used to this, but never kept me from driving it

-The air conditioner doesn’t work, the owner before my put a manual compressor switch on it, it worked when I bought it, but it doesn’t any more.

-The vinyl top is in good shape, but some of the plastic is failing with age, also plastic failing on bumper

-The rotors need turned, most obvious when making a sudden stop.

-The exhaust has a leak.

-The previous owner has touched up some paint spots

-the body has some rust. No holes, but see the pictures.

-Uncertain if the mileage has “rolled over”

The good

-Clear Indiana Title

-The car runs, drives and shifts like it should from the factory.

-The power windows, locks, and cruise all work

-Factory radio works

-Heat/defrost works

-Two new tires on the rear the last year or so.

-Gets about 22 MPG cruising

-Still has factory mud flaps

-Original Spare and jack

I am sure I have missed something, but the car can be shown prior to bidding if desired, I do work quite a bit, but will show you the car if needed.

I hate to sell it, but I would rather someone use it, than let it sit.

Any questions, let me know, Buyer must pick up. I would trust it to drive 1000 miles, but with a car this age, I can’t warranty it. Also, this is an auction, you can paypal me the entire amount, but I do require a 25% deposit, before pickup. The auction price is the price you pay, no negotiation on pickup.

Good luck, any questions, let me know.
