1986 Toyota Other Xtra Cab Dlx Description

I have for sale a 1986 Toyota Pick-up, Xtra Cab, with the 22R 4 cylinder engine. This truck was a well maintained one owner. Some spot rust is starting to show up on the cab. The box was rotted out and we replaced it with a fiberglass one. We recently went thru it and replaced all 4 shocks, fuel tank, exhaust from cat back, rear bumper, brake master cylinder, brake pads, parking brake cable, and some brake line sections. Some sections of the frame were rusted bad as well so we had new metal welded in. A tune up was done on the engine, new plugs, wires, cap and rotor, valve cover gasket was replaced, and a new battery put in. Interior is very clean but there is a small tear in the plastic headliner above the driver visor. The 4 cylinder 22R engine runs excellent. This has a manual transmission with lock out hubs for 4X4.This truck was given to my son by his Grandfather. It sat for aboutthe last 15years in a garage up north. I was fixing it up for him to drive when he turned 16. He decided hewanted a car instead, so his loss is your gain!
I was going to take it to the body shop to repair the rust, replace the mirrors, and put on new tires and rims. The tires on it have plenty of tread but are winter tires. I also have a tailgate net for it. This truck is being sold as-is, no warranty. But we all know that the 22R is bullet proof! I had the same truck, but without the extra cab. I could go just about anywhere I wanted as it is light and plenty of ground clearance. I'm still driving the truck back and forth to work. It will be hard to see this one go!
